activate by Reclay

Léko, in partnership with activate by Reclay, is offering its members support in complying with their Extended Producer Responsibility requirements in Germany, Austria and Spain.

In addition to the services already offered by Léko as an eco-organization, activate by Reclay is here to help you achieve compliance in these countries, where regulations differ from those in France.

EPR requirements in Germany

To sell your packaged products in Germany, you need to comply with the current Packaging Act (VerpackG). All producers of packaged products must register with a Producer Responsability Organisation (PRO), which will ensure the collection, sorting and recycling of this packaging.

Step1: Register as a producer/marketer

  • Start your compliance by registering with the national packaging register (ZSVR) on LUCID.

Step2: Register your packaging

  • This involves registering your packaging with a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) such as activate by Reclay. Meet your obligations simply and efficiently in just a few steps, and obtain your license.

Step3: Declare packaging quantities

  • Once you have licensed your packaging with activate by Reclay, you need to declare these quantities. This final step involves transferring the data to LUCID to complete your compliance report.

EPR requirements in Austria

When you develop your business in Austria, you need to set up a local head office or appoint an authorized representative, and then join a Producer Responsability Organisation (PRO) to take charge of your packaging.

Step1: Appoint your legal representative in Austria

  • For companies not headquartered in Austria, the appointment of a legal representative is mandatory. This representative will act on your behalf to meet Austrian packaging obligations, ensuring that your company complies with local Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations. You can appoint a legal representative simply and easily with Léko partner AuthoriseMe.
  • If you have a registered office in Austria, you can proceed directly to step 2.

Step2: Register your packaging

  • Once you have appointed your authorized representative, you can proceed with the registration of your packaging. With activate by Reclay, this process is simple and ensures that you meet all legal requirements for packaging compliance in Austria.

EPR requirements in Spain

When you set up your business in Spain, you need to set up a local head office or appoint an authorized representative, and then join a Producer Responsability Organisation (PRO) to take charge of your packaging.

Step1: Appoint your legal representative in Spain

  • For companies not headquartered in Spain, the appointment of a legal representative is mandatory. This representative will act on your behalf to meet Spanish packaging obligations, ensuring that your company complies with local Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations. You can appoint a legal representative simply and easily with Léko partner AuthoriseMe.
  • If you have a head office in Spain, you can proceed directly to step 2.
