Re'flacon, winner of Léko's 2024 call for projects, is an innovative laboratory based in Salon-de-Provence, founded in 2025 by Sarah and Maxime Debald. Coming from a family business that has been involved in natural cosmetics for over 25 years, they chose to put their expertise at the service of a key issue in the ecological transition: the reuse of packaging.
By combining the washing and filling of returnable containers on a single site, Re'Flacon is helping cosmetics and detergent brands to move towards a circular model. In partnership with Le Fourgon, the laboratory has defined 3 standard sizes of glass bottles, which it buys and makes available to its customers on a deposit basis.
The laboratory has implemented a rigorous process that complies with regulatory requirements (GMP*; European regulation on prepackaging):
- Label peeling,
- Machine washable with internal and external spray,
- Drying in clean area,
- Semi-automated filling, with screwing, labeling, batch number printing and palletizing; certified by Ecocert under COSMOS and ECODETERGENT standards.
Each partnership is the subject of a subcontracting agreement. An analysis protocol is set up at the start of each project to validate the effectiveness and safety of the wash. Microbiological analyses are carried out on each production batch to guarantee the conformity of finished products.
Re'flacon also stands out for its flexibility:
- Standard sizes available: 100ml, 500ml, 1000ml - 1 x 50ml glass jar currently under study
- Specific flasks can be the subject of a feasibility study,
- All projects are considered, with no minimum order,
- 1000L containers can be made available to brands for shipping bulk products.
A fine illustration of a local, agile and committed solution for developing large-scale reuse in key consumer sectors.
