The unik Opack: Reusable, Economical and Ecological Packaging

The unik Opack not only won the gold medal at the Lépine 2023 competition, but was also one of the winners of the Call for Reuse Projects launched by Léko this summer. Designed to be reused more than 100 times, its main advantages lie in its ability, on the one hand, to effectively protect fragile objects and, on the other, to reduce the amount of single-use shipping packaging, thus contributing to a zero-waste approach.

Its distinguishing feature is its removable cushioning, which can be easily inflated and deflated to adapt to the shape of the objects inside the parcel. This feature ensures optimum protection throughout the entire transport process.

The unik Opack comes in two practical sizes, S and M, with a larger size planned for early 2024. He holds a patent and the models are registered.

This product has the PePs label (Produit en Prison) and is made in France. It thus contributes to the reintegration of prisoners and the promotion of local production!

Clarence Bordeaux: for re-use in cosmetics

Clarence Bordeaux is a botanical cosmetics laboratory founded in 2022, and one of the winners of Léko's "Appel à Projets Réemploi". Based in the Gironde region of France, it manufactures natural and organic skincare products on site at the Domaine de Clarence, using plants grown in France.

Reducing the environmental footprint is at the very heart of the brand's DNA. In order to reduce the production of plastic packaging (in the cosmetics industry, plastic still accounts for 44% of the total weight of solutions put on the market, i.e. 55,000 tons annually), the range is exclusively made up of solid or care products packaged in returnable and reusable glass bottles. Cleaning and disinfecting the bottles posed technical problems, given their small size and narrow neck, unsuited to industrial cleaning for food bottles. Clarence Bordeaux therefore decided to acquire equipment dedicated to the disinfection of these bottles. In this way, the brand hopes to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of reuse in the cosmetics sector, where single-use packaging is still the norm.
